Key Features & Benefits

  • Disease-Modifying Action: Unlike traditional medications that only treat late-stage symptoms (like fluid buildup or irregular rhythms), this drug targets the disease itself before outward symptoms appear.
  • Proven Efficacy: In clinical field trials like the RAPACAT study, treated cats showed significantly stabilized or improved heart wall measurements compared to untreated cats.
  • Convenient Regimen: Formulated as a simple, small, once-weekly oral tablet given with a meal, reducing administration stress for owners and pets.
  • Available Strengths: Commercially packaged by PRN Pharmacal in 0.4 mg (orange package), 1.2 mg (blue package), and 2.4 mg (white package) film-coated tablets.

Usage Guidelines & Safety

  • Exclusions: Do not use in cats with pre-existing liver disease, diabetes mellitus, systemic hypertension, or clinical congestive heart failure.
  • Side Effects: Common adverse reactions include cardiovascular shifts linked to HCM progression, lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, and inappetence.
  • Handling Precautions: Pregnant or breastfeeding women must strictly avoid touching the medication.
  • Please consult with your veterinarian for medication dosage
