Protexin CystoPro combines multiple ingredients to promote urinary tract health from various angles:

  • Proanthocyanidins (PACs): Natural antioxidants extracted from North American cranberries. Type A PACs have anti-adhesion properties, reducing the chance of certain bacteria attaching to the bladder wall.
  • N-acetyl-D-glucosamine: An important component of the protective bladder mucosa (glycosaminoglycan GAG layer). A healthy GAG layer prevents irritants and bacteria from entering the urinary system.
  • Probiotics: Contains the EU-registered strain Enterococcus faecium (NCIMB 10415) E1707, which helps reduce pathogenic bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract, thereby limiting bacterial colonization in the perineum.
  • Prebiotics (Mannan-oligosaccharide, MOS): Made from purified yeast cell walls, it binds to receptors on bacterial cilia, preventing them from attaching to epithelial cells, while supporting a healthy gut microbiota.

The capsules can be given whole or opened, and the palatable contents sprinkled onto food. Give for as long as considered necessary or as advised by your veterinary surgeon.

 

  • Cat under 5kg - 1 capsule daily

  • Dog 20-40kg - 2 capsules daily
