Milbemax for Cats is a highly effective, broad-spectrum oral dewormer used to treat and control common intestinal worms. It combines two active ingredients—milbemycin oxime and praziquantel—into a single, tiny, beef-flavoured tablet that cats accept easily.

Parasites Controlled

  • Roundworms: Treats adult and immature stages (Toxocara cati, Toxascaris leonina).
  • Hookworms: Treats adult and immature stages (Ancylostoma tubaeforme).
  • Tapeworms: Disintegrates and eliminates species like Dipylidium caninum and Taenia spp..

 

Administration & Frequency

  • How to give: Administer orally. Place it at the back of the tongue or mix it into a small amount of food. Always give it with or after food to maximize absorption and ensure optimum target protection.
  • Routine Deworming: Consult with your veterinarian for standard intestinal parasite prevention in kittens and adult cats.

 

Safety & Precautions

  • Minimum Age: Do not use on kittens under 6 weeks of age or those weighing less than 0.5 kg.
  • Maternal Safety: It is clinically safe for breeding, pregnant, and lactating queens.
  • Species Specific: Never give the feline formula to dogs, or vice versa, as the ratios differ drastically.

Product Formulations & Dosage
Milbemax comes in two distinct color-coded sizes. Dosing is strictly based on the cat's weight, with a minimum recommended dose rate of 2 mg milbemycin oxime and 5 mg praziquantel per kg:
