PAW MANUKA WOUND CARE GEL

PROTECTIVE BARRIER FOR WOUND CARE

PAW Manuka Wound Gel™ is a sterile, medical grade wound dressing composed of 80% manuka honey (Leptospermum sp.) combined with natural oils and

waxes. This blend is perfect for managing wounds, burns, grazes, and serves as a general first aid treatment for dogs, cats, horses, and other companion animals.

Product Benefits

  • Formulated with high quality medical grade manuka honey (MGO 263+) which is subject to minimal heat treatment to preserve its natural antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and wound healing properties.
  • Contains nourishing almond oil for additional protection to the wound bed, reducing the discomfort associated with pure honey.
  • Effectively protects the wound and helps maintain the natural wound pH.
  • Removes malodour.
  • Helps reduce and prevent contamination, external bacterial colonisation, and infection.
  • May assist in the removal of slough and necrotic tissues.
  • Natural and non- toxic for animals.
  • Non-adherent gel to minimise trauma during dressing changes.

  • Wash around the wound with a sterile saline.
  • Apply PAW Manuka Wound Gel liberally (approx. 3mm layer) directly to the wound or to a suitable dressing.
  • In addition using a barrier cream can further protect the wound margin.
  • Dressing change frequency will depend on clinical circumstances.
  • It can vary from once per day for draining wounds to up to 7 days for unsoiled dressings.
  • PAW Manuka Wound Gel can be removed from the wound by rinsing with sterile saline or water at dressing change.
  • Store below 25°C away from direct sunlight.
